At everydayfoto we're all about empowering creativity. It is our goal to share with you, the impact your purchases are making. This is one of the classrooms and projects we've helped fund together.

We all remember those middle school years of trying to find our place in the world, don't we? Pre-teens have so much coming at them from all directions, but our school is a comfortable, inviting place for students to learn and grow. We focus on student achievement and success as individuals. It is a place to learn, make mistakes, solve problems and work together as a team. Our students make a huge transition during those three years and come out ready to tackle the challenge of high school and their future!

The Project

My Tech 2 students complete a unit on photography, plus the yearbook students take photos all year. They are interested in learning about aerial photography and how to operate a drone. My middle school students are very interested in drones and how they will be used in the future!

We want to learn about aerial photography and drones with real-world experiences.

My students need a drone to take aerial photos. They will use the photos in the yearbook as well as for class projects. We will complete a unit on flight and having a drone in class would give them hands on experience. Drones are used in many careers and for many uses, and their uses are increasing daily.

This project reached 150 students | Grades 6-8 | Oklahoma

Dear everydayfotoproject,

Thank you for investing in our classroom! The students are having a great time learning about flight and photography. Adding the flight element to the photography unit draws their attention and is interesting to them. We have had the drone out on some nice days and taken many pictures and videos! It doesn't always go where we want it to because we live in windy Oklahoma, but the pictures are always interesting!

Several of the students have really developed an interest in learning more about flight, engineering, and drones as a result of this project. It has been a great motivational tool for them!

Again, we thank you for funding this grant and helping our students learn new things!

With gratitude,
Mrs. Crossley
